From Rebuilding to Thriving: Jennifer Skala’s Journey with JDBNOW

At JDBNOW, we’re proud of the way we help our customers and employees move forward—and no one embodies that spirit more than Jennifer Skala, our dedicated Insurance Manager. Her story is a powerful reminder of how perseverance, the right support system, and a little bit of groovy encouragement can truly change a life.

Jennifer joined JDBNOW in April of 2019. At the time, she had only heard negative things about Byrider, but her perspective shifted the moment she walked through our doors.

“Once I was on board, I saw firsthand the hard work and dedication of the team I had become a part of,” she says.

Prior to her time at JDBNOW, Jennifer had been on disability for two years and was working hard to get back on her feet. Her credit score hovered around 550, and like many people, she found the idea of rebuilding credit overwhelming. But thanks to our in-house credit program—and the determination to take control of her financial future—Jennifer’s journey took off.

After just one year with the company, she purchased a Kia Sorento through JDBNOW. When a total-loss accident occurred, her insurance covered the loan in full. From there, things only got better.

“I then purchased my 2015 orange Jeep Cherokee. I paid this vehicle off early. The service department kept me going and took care of any issue I had,” Jennifer shared.

With every step forward, Jennifer’s credit score climbed higher. She went on to purchase a 2018 Chevy Colorado for her husband, bought a $250,000 home, and most recently traded in her Jeep to upgrade to a brand-new Chevy Blazer. From a 550 credit score in 2019 to over 700 today, Jennifer is living proof that financial freedom is possible with the right guidance and determination.

“This would have been a lot more difficult to accomplish without the help of the credit program and the amazing people at JDBNOW. I am forever grateful for the help in making my dreams come true,” she says.
